Clearing your Address Bar History

How do you delete addresses from the drop-down address bar?



Notice how if you try to type an address into the address bar, or you pull down the address bar choices, you have lots of sites that you have visited?.. Some may even be links that don't work, or places you don't want other people to see.

If you don't want anyone else to access information (or see information) about your Internet viewing habits. It's also a quick and easy way to eliminate incorrect URLs that repeatedly show up on the list.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click Tools.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Click Clear History.
  4. You can also specify the number of days to keep sites in your history log.
Netscape Navigator
  1. Click Edit.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click on Navigator on the left.
  4. On the right, click the Clear Location Bar button.
  5. Click OK.
