"get rid of tracking files on your system"

Cookies are important to many web sites. These files stored on your system include information that can be used to personalize your view of a site on your next visit. In most cases, cookies are very normal and not harmful in any way. Some cookies, however, are used to track your browsing habits or retain your personal information, and can also be used to trigger unwanted popups. We recommend you clear out your cookies at least once a month. Note that completely disabling cookies may make many web sites work incorrectly.

To disable cookies: (not recommended)

  1. In IE, click TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS
  2. Select the "Privacy" tab
  3. Move the slider up until the "Block all cookies" option appears
