On the FamilyWay homepage, go to the top, right corner, where the link entitled "Downloads" is located and click on download Hypernet Dialer link.
Click on the link, and a dialogue box will appear which gives you the options to "open" "save" etc. Click on SAVE because you will want to SAVE this file after download so that you can install it on your hard drive. ( Please remember where you have saved this file! Unless you are experienced in file handling, it is usually best to let the computer save the file in it's default location. This will probably be a folder entitled "my received files" or something similar.) The download box will indicate when the download is completed.

From there, you will want to go to the location where you have downloaded the file. In this example, we will use the "my received files" or "my files" folder. When you have opened the folder containing the downloaded file, look for the filename "Hypernet". This will probably be accompanied by an icon indicating the downloaded file.

Click on the "Hypernet" Icon, and an installation dialogue box will open. In that dialogue box, click "next" to continue the installation procedure.

The next screen contains the License agreement information. You cannot proceed with the download until you agree to the terms of the license, so in the bottom left corner of the page, put a check in the small square which acknowledges that you agree to the terms, and then enter "next" to continue. (Note: If you forget to check the square, you will not be allowed to continue the installation). The next dialogue box that appears indicates the location where you would like to install Hypernet. If you are not comfortable with computer file and folder handling, simply use the default location, and click "next" to proceed. (Otherwise, you may use the "browse" option to designation the location of the installation.) The program will now begin installing. After installation, a box will appear indicating that you have had a successful installation. Click "finish" in this box. At this point, a box may appear indicating that you need to reboot your computer in order for the hypernet installation to take effect. Please make sure that any other programs that you may have running , are shut down and that all data is saved before proceeding to reboot. (Note: Ideally you should have already shut down all other computer operations before running this installation, as other programs often conflict with installation of new software). When you are ready to reboot your computer, click "yes" and wait for your computer to reboot.

After the reboot you will notice a little box with a green X in it, at the bottom of your screen in the taskbar. This is the hypernet icon.

There is also a check box at the bottom if you want this information saved. You will want to check this unless you want to enter the data every time. If everything works according to plan, you should be all set to enjoy surfing with hypernet! If you have any further questions or problems, don't hesitate to contact us!

if you are asked to UPGRADE your HyperNet, you will want to do this!... allow the program to download the latest version of HyperNet and uninstall the old one.

If you click on the small Green X HyperNet Icon in the bottom right corner of your screen, you will see a menu like this:

From this menu you can adjust or turn off your HyperNet.
